Turmeric has been used in India for thousands of years as a spice and medical herb. It gives curry its yellow colour and nutrients. The compounds present in turmeric are called curcuminoids, the most important of which is curcumin.
This turmeric has been sourced from South India, Alleppey. It has the highest curcumin content, 4.5 %. Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric. It has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant. Curcumin lowers the risk of heart disease, helps prevent cancer and support the cancer treatment.
